Death Of 16-Year Old In Salem Shooting: Teen Shooter Suspect Arrested
SALEM. Ore. — The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) released a report confirming that they responded to a 911 call reporting that a juvenile had been shot in the early hours of Sunday, June 23, 2024. Deputies were dispatched shortly before 1:00 a.m..
Salem Shooting Victim Pronounced Dead At The Scene
Upon arrival at 5500 Block of Skyline Rd SE, Salem, emergency workers applied life-saving measures on the 16-year-old male victim, but the juvenile was pronounced deceased at the scene despite their efforts. Due to his age, the identity of the deceased will not be released.
Salem Teen Shooter Charged
After an extensive investigation, detectives from MCSO identified a suspect- David Ayon-Urbano, 18, of Salem. The suspect was arrested and charged with Murder in the Second Degree and other charges and his arraignment is scheduled to be held at the Marion County Court Annex on Monday, June 24 at 2:30 p.m..
Further updates will follow as the case progresses but all suspects are regarded as innocent until proven guilty.
