Portland Robbery: Dead Victim Identified
The man found in the parking lot in the 1100 block of Northeast 102nd Avenue, Hazelwood neighborhood, on Monday- after a robbery, he later died, has been identified as 47-year-old Jonathan Trent of Portland. The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) investigation is now a homicide.
Victim In Portland Robbery Identified: Death Ruled A Homicide
East Precinct PPB officers responded to reports of a robbery and shots fired outside of a business in the Hazelwood neighborhood on Monday at approximately 3:50 p.m.
An adult male was found down in the parking lot. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Because of the circumstances, the PPB’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene to investigate and initially treated the death as suspicious. The Medical Examiner has now determined that Trent died of homicide by gunshot wound.
Trent’s family requested privacy at this time but provided the attached photo for public release.
