Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups said Simons just didn’t feel well, and Simons didn’t seem worried, but further tests are awaited. Portland beat Minnesota for a second straight night in a game with many highlights that included:

  • In the 33 minutes he played, SG Shaedon Sharpe put 33 points on the board.
  • Anthony Edwards made Timberwolves history in the third quarter for Minnesota with his 20th point in this game. This made it his 12th 20+ point game in a row, breaking Kevin Garnett’s most consecutive 20+ point games to start a season record. In his 40 minutes of playing time, Edwards got 24 points, four rebounds, four assists, four steals, and one block, shooting 10/25 from the field but none from the three-point range.
