Last night in Oklahoma City, a late burst from Oklahoma City Thunder’s Jalen Williams sealed a 109-99 win against the Portland Trail Blazers (who started at (6-8, 13th in the Western Conference after three straight wins), despite neither team leading by more than six points throughout the game.

- After cutting Oklahoma’s lead to one with just over five minutes remaining, Portland couldn’t contain Jalen Williams, who controlled the game during the decisive late fourth-quarter stretch. In a 10-1 run, Williams scored eight points to put his team ahead by 10 with 3:45 left and hit back-to-back 3-pointers. He hit five of Thunder’s nine 3-pointers, scoring 30 points and adding eight assists, seven rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 28 for the Thunder, while Isaiah Hartenstein returned after missing the first 15 games with a broken hand and scored an alley-oop dunk. Hartenstein finished with 13 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocks. Gilgeous-Alexander was 7 of 19 but hit all 14 of his free throws.
- In the first quarter, Portland jumped to a 23-13 lead but went 0 for 5 with four turnovers in the final four minutes of the quarter.
- Shaedon Sharpe led the Blazers with 21 points, going 6 of 16 from the floor.
- Portland’s bench play was pivotal to its winning streak going into the game, but Oklahoma’s bench outscored them in this outing 44-31.
