Portland Trail Blazers Minus Ayton And Henderson Lose By 28 To Houston Rockets – Game Highlights

The Portland Trail Blazers fell to 6-10 at the Toyota Center on Friday night, while the  Houston Rockets improved to 12-5 after their 116-88 win on their home court in Houston, despite a slow start.

Without two of its five leading scorers, the Portland Trailblazers started strong before Tari Eason scored  12 points for the Rockets in a busy 13 minutes in the first half.

Deandre Ayton was sidelined with a deep contusion in his right index finger again, and a left quad contusion kept Scoot Henderson out of Friday night’s game. The highlights of Friday’s game included:

• For the Rockets, Dillon Brooks scored a season-high 28 points with six rebounds,  matching a career-high with six 3-pointers on eight attempts. In addition, Eason finished with a game-best plus-minus of +33 points, scoring 22 points off the bench.
• Jalen Green had 17, Alperen Sengun added 14, and Houston The Rockets made 15 of 39 (38.5%) from beyond the arc.
• Portland’s Shaedon Sharpe had 13 points and two steals, while Deni Avdija also had 13 points and six rebounds. Toumani Camara had 11 points.
• Houston generated 28 points off Portland’s 21 turnovers and outscored the Blazers 23-7 in fast-break points.

After losing two straight games to open a four-game trip, the Trail Blazers are 1-1 in the in-season tournament.
