Portland Trail Blazers Win In Los Angeles Clippers’ Disappointing Last Minute – Game Highlights
By the fourth quarter, and with just over a minute on the clock, on Wednesday night at the Intuit Dome, the 90-82 lead built up by the Los Angeles Clippers slipped away as they failed to score on four straight possessions.
The Portland Trail Blazers (now 2-3) 106-105 win was the second game in a row lost by the Clippers (now 2-2).

Although neither team scored in the last minute of the game, there were many good moments before that. The highlights of the game included:
- With 10:46 left and a lead of 90-82 after a Kai Jones dunk, Portland came back to tie the game at 102 after a three-pointer by Anfernee Simons.
- Simons made a lay-up to take the Blazers to a 104-103 lead after James Harden had pushed the Clippers ahead with a free throw. De’Andre Ayton converted a hard layup for the Blazers with 1:38 remaining for a 106-105 Portland lead after Norman Powell had replied with a midrange jumper.
- The Clippers missed several opportunities. Amir Coffey racked up an open triple and Ivica Zubac missed two from the line. After Norman Powell took the rebound off a block by Derrick Jones Jr. he dashed down the floor but with a perfectly timed jump, Deni Avdija knocked Powell’s shot away to maintain their lead.
- With just 3.2 seconds left, Ayton picked off a pass intended for Zubac by Harden inside the shaded lane.

- For Portland: Simons led with 25 points and 6 assists and Ayton earned a fifth-straight double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
- For Los Angeles: Powell led with 30 points and Harden scored a double-double again with 19 points and 10 assists.
