Shooter Arrested In Ashland: Victim Hospitalized

ASHLAND, Ore. — The Ashland Police Department (APD) responded to reports of multiple rounds being shot in Ashland yesterday.

 

Man Arrested In Ashland After Multiple Shots Fired

Multiple units from the APD attended at the 40 Block of Alida Street, where a person fired numerous rounds from a forearm.

One person was hit. APD Deputy Chief Dan Moulin said that the sounds of gunshots and a man yelling were heard when the units arrived. He indicated that the victim and suspect know each other.

The victim was alert and talking while being transported to the hospital. APD’s Facebook page indicated that the suspect had been taken into custody. While the area will remain closed off for some time, there is no threat to the public.

The public has been asked to avoid the area.
