Two Arrested After Klamath Falls Fight Leaves Man Dead from Chest Wound
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The Klamath Falls Police Department Homicide Investigation into a shooting on Thursday night at 2328 Biehn Street in Klamath Falls in which Jai Jackson, 23, died, indicated that Jackson was shot in the chest after a physical altercation. Two 20-year-olds, Malacky Rodgers and Garin Riddle Jr, have been arrested.
Klamath Falls Shooting: 2 Arrested After Man Dies In Altercation
Responding to reports of a shooting at 11:02 p.m. on Thursday, patrol officers from the Klamath Falls Police Department discovered that Jackson had called 9-1-1 and reported he had been shot in the chest.
Life-saving measures were administered when the officers arrived, but Jackson tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Detectives from the Investigations Unit activated the Klamath County Major Crime Team. Police indicate that witnesses say Jackson got into a physical altercation with two other men, later identified as Rodgers and Riddle, and one of them had shot him in the chest. The two had fled the scene by the time police arrived.
At about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Rodgers was found and taken into custody, after which he was lodged at the Klamath County Jail for a parole violation. Police found Riddle a short time later and took him into custody. He now faces charges of Murder in the 2nd degree.
