Van Driver’s Fatal Lane Switch Sends Woodburn Mother and Son Crashing into Ditch Near Canby

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. — Van driver Tyler Ryan Sahnow of Beaverton died in an accident when his van collided head-on with a Suburban in Clackamas County late last Friday afternoon. A Woodburn woman and her six-year-old son survived after her SUV ended on its side in a ditch.

According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at 5 p.m. on South Kropf Road, 10 miles south of Canby.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the van veered out of its lane and hit the oncoming Suburban head-on.

    The fool who overdid mushrooms and consequently severed his fingers and burned himself is solely responsible for what happened. I’m a little short on sympathy for him. He probably won’t want to do ‘shrooms again! He may qualify for SSI, but I hope not. Idiocy should not be rewarded!
    I might have tried ‘shrooms, too. I enjoyed acid many decades ago, but this is really a different breed of trouble. I think I’ll just have another beer and shake my head at this disaster.
